Notes
'Trail Blaze' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Trail Blaze') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The ruffled petals are light red and the blooms open in deep pink or rose-red. Derek Irvine bred it in 2001.
Pairs well with Fire Island hosta, Pink Impression tulip, and Ostrich fern.
