Notes

Tree lupine (Lupinus arboreus) is a shrub for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy or loamy soil. Sweet-scented yellow flowers sit on 6 inch spikes just above silky, dark-green leaves. Deer tend to pass it by. Butterflies, bees, and birds visit the plant.

Pairs well with Creosote bush, Society garlic, and Fountain grass.
