Notes

'Trewithen Blue' feltleaf ceanothus (Ceanothus arboreus 'Trewithen Blue') is an evergreen shrub for borders and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It blooms in spring and again in summer, and the flowers are fragrant. Bees, butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds visit it. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Mediterranean spurge, Globemaster allium, and Shenandoah switchgrass.
