Notes

Buckbrush (Ceanothus cuneatus) is an evergreen shrub for hedges, woodland edges, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy or loamy soil. White flowers are fragrant and open in late winter and spring, and some bloom again in summer. Deer rarely make it their first choice. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Cascara buckthorn, Ponderosa pine, and White sage.
