Notes

'Trophy' peony (Paeonia 'Trophy') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Bright strawberry red semi-double rosettes open in early to late spring with yellow stamens in the center, and butterflies visit them. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Prof. Arthur Percy Saunders bred it.

Pairs well with Burnet, Lily, Cornflower, and Comfrey.
