Notes
'Tropical Flash' peony (Paeonia 'Tropical Flash') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its fragrant yellow flowers have a pink blush and single petals, and the early foliage emerges burgundy before it matures to green. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Roger F. Anderson bred it.
Pairs well with Blue Mouse Ears hosta, Lungwort, Spanish bluebell, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
