Notes
'Tropical Storm' taro (Colocasia esculenta 'Tropical Storm') is a bulb for specimen planting, accent, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, loamy or clay soil. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. It grows in a clump and reaches 18 to 24 inches tall and wide at a moderate pace. The plant is evergreen and bears a white spadix with a creamy white spathe.
Pairs well with Calla lily, Mondo grass, and Labyrinth dahlia.
