Notes

'Twickel Purple' lavender (Lavandula angustifolia 'Twickel Purple') is a perennial for borders, hedges, rock gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy or loamy soil. Purple, fragrant flowers open from early to late summer and draw butterflies and bees. The evergreen foliage stays on the plant through the year, and it handles dry spells well.

Pairs well with Purple Coneflower coneflower, Japanese forest grass, and Golden Tiara hosta.
