Notes

'Tydeman's Early Worcester' apple (Malus domestica Tydemans Early Worcester) is a tree for the food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. This early-season apple is grown for fresh eating, cooking, and drying. H.M. Tydeman bred it by crossing McIntosh and Worcester Pearmain. It gets extra sweetness and juiciness from McIntosh, and bees visit the spring blooms.

Pairs well with Serviceberry, Black chokeberry, Garlic chives, and African marigold.
