Notes

'Uncle Bob' peony (Paeonia 'Uncle Bob') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen use. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant red blooms have purple shading and attract butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. William Henry Krekler bred it.

Pairs well with Blue Mouse Ears hosta, Solomon's seal, Western sword fern, and Carlton daffodil.
