Notes

'Valor' peony (Paeonia 'Valor') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It bears fragrant, semi-double red flowers that attract butterflies and bees. Ernest Flint Kelsey bred it. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by.

Pairs well with Magnus coneflower, Blue Mouse Ears hosta, and Limelight hydrangea.
