Notes

'Vanilla Cream' wild indigo (Baptisia 'Vanilla Cream') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, and low maintenance beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. It grows 24 to 36 inches tall and spreads 35 to 47 inches, so give it room. Butterflies and bees visit it, and it tolerates drought and salt.

Pairs well with Peony, Caradonna sage, and Lady's mantle.
