Notes
'Vanso' clematis (Clematis 'Vanso') is a vine for trellises, fences, and arbors. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. It bears pale blue to blue-violet double flowers from early to late summer, with another round in early autumn. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Give the vine a sturdy support to climb.
Pairs well with Tree peony, Flowering quince, and Burnet.
