Notes

'Red Dragon' Japanese maple (Acer palmatum var. dissectum 'Red Dragon') is a small tree for specimen, accent, and woodland use. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. It grows slowly into a broad shape and shows fall color. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Bees and birds visit its reddish-purple spring flowers.

Pairs well with Incrediball hydrangea, Niobe clematis, and Ornamental onion.
