Notes

'Oklahoma' Texas redbud (Cercis canadensis var. texensis 'Oklahoma') is a tree for specimen plantings, borders, woodland gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer tend to browse other plants first. Wine-red flowers open from early to late spring and attract butterflies and bees.

Pairs well with Amsonia, Little bluestem, and Beautyberry.
