Notes

'Variegata' oregano (Origanum vulgare 'Variegata') is an herb for borders, containers, rock gardens, and food gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, loamy or chalky soil. Its cascading stems spill over edges and walls, and bees and butterflies visit the fragrant summer blooms. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Drought tolerance makes it easy to care for.

Pairs well with Lamb’s ear, Lavender cotton, and Hardy geranium.
