Notes
'Verspi' spiked speedwell (Veronica spicata 'Verspi') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, loamy soil. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. It forms a clumping mound and grows at a moderate pace. Flower spikes open from early to late summer and draw butterflies and bees.
Pairs well with Blonde Ambition blue grama, Many Happy Returns peony, and William Baffin rose.
