Notes

'Vesna' Japanese witch hazel (Hamamelis intermedia 'Vesna') is a shrub for borders, hedges, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It bears fragrant yellow-orange petals, and it also gives you fall color. Deer tend to pass it by. Expect blooms in winter, with some in spring and autumn too.

Pairs well with Lenten rose, Common snowdrop, and Springwood White tree heath.
