Notes

'Victoire de la Marne' peony (Paeonia 'Victoire de la Marne') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, specimen planting, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. The large double flowers are purplish red with lighter edges and open loosely on good stems. Auguste Dessert bred it. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Minuteman hosta, Blonde Ambition blue grama, and African Queen lily.
