Notes

'Vintage Lace' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Vintage Lace') is a shrub for borders and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It bears fragrant, pure white, semi-double flowers in late spring, with lemon anthers at the center. The stems are strong and carry one bud each. John and Dot McFarlane bred it, and it grows into a medium bush with medium green leaves.

Pairs well with Guacamole hosta, Prairie dropseed, and Greig's tulip.
