Notes

'Virginia Louise' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Virginia Louise') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The full double flowers are blush white with a deeper pink cast and small red splashes on the petal tips. They open in mid to late spring and sit erect on strong, sturdy stems. Walter J. Guille bred it.

Pairs well with Woodland phlox, Prairie dropseed, Black Hero tulip, and Rose.
