Notes

'Vistula' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Vistula') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its double, dark pink flowers open in late spring to early summer and have a lovely fragrance. A silver edge appears on the petals as the flowers mature. Plants reach about 110 cm (43") tall and stand upright without support.

Pairs well with Balloon flower, Woodland phlox, Sedge, and Grape hyacinth.
