Notes
'Waitawa Glorious' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Waitawa Glorious') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flower gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Fragrant red flowers open up to 8 inches across in mid to late spring and early summer. The green leaves have a bronze tinge and turn all bronze in fall.
Pairs well with Ostrich fern, Pink Impression tulip, Polish Spirit clematis, and Tall fescue.
