Notes

'Walküre' peony (Paeonia 'Walküre') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Michael Miely introduced it in 2012. The semi-double pink flowers have no fragrance, and the heavy blooms benefit from support. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Big Daddy hosta, Stella de Oro daylily, Blonde Ambition blue grama, and Cheerfulness daffodil.
