Notes

'Walla Walla' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Walla Walla') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fully double white flowers have a pale yellow glow in the center and a strong fragrance. They open in late spring on upright stems that reach about 35 inches and need no support. McCrae bred it from a seedling of 'Lake' o' 'Silver'.

Pairs well with Rainbow's End hosta, Royal fern, Miss Kim lilac, and Spanish bluebell.
