Notes

'Wedgwood Blue' lilac (Syringa vulgaris 'Wedgwood Blue') is a shrub for cottage gardens, specimens, hedges, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy or clay soil. Lavender-blue single flowers open from early to late spring and smell sweet, and butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the blooms. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It also tolerates salt.

Pairs well with Annabelle hydrangea, Carlton daffodil, Immortality iris, and Western sword fern.
