Notes

'Wesuwe' sage (Salvia nemorosa 'Wesuwe') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy soil. It forms a clumping mound with fragrant purple flowers that bloom in late spring, summer, and autumn, and they attract butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits.

Pairs well with Pale purple coneflower, Nodding onion, and Phantom panicle hydrangea.
