Notes

'Wheatley' rhododendron (Rhododendron 'Wheatley') is a shrub for borders, specimen planting, hedges, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Fragrant flowers open in early to late spring and attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. The evergreen leaves give you screening in every season. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Jack Frost Siberian bugloss, Siebold's hosta, Wood anemone, and Witch hazel.
