Notes

'White Cockade' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'White Cockade') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It blooms mid-season with large, single white flowers. The creamy white guard petals surround pale green carpels and ivory stigmas. Keagey bred it, and the green stems grow to a medium height.

Pairs well with Stella de Oro daylily, Curly Fries hosta, Prairie dropseed, and Black Hero tulip.
