Notes

'White Gem' forest gardenia (Gardenia jasminoides 'White Gem') is a shrub for borders, specimen plantings, and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. The dense evergreen shrub grows at a moderate pace and bears fragrant flowers in early to late spring and again in early to late summer. Deer tend to pass it by. Bees and birds visit it too.

Pairs well with American holly, Society garlic, and Anemone.
