Notes
'White Rose' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'White Rose') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Shrader bred it, and it has large, pure white double flowers with some yellow stamens. The blooms open in late mid-season and have a pleasing fragrance. Sturdy stems of medium height hold the plant upright, and the dark green foliage stays symmetrical all summer.
Pairs well with Dancing Queen hosta, Phantom panicle hydrangea, and Sedge.
