Notes

'White Ruffles' oriental poppy (Papaver orientale 'White Ruffles') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun. Fringed white petals surround black centers in late spring to early summer. It is not a favorite of rabbits, though hungry rabbits will eat almost anything. The plant goes semi-dormant after flowering, so set a low, mounding perennial in front to hide the bare spot.

Pairs well with Nepeta, Little Beauty tulip, and Shrub rose.
