White Tigress maple

Notes

'White Tigress' maple (Acer tegmentosum 'White Tigress') is a tree for specimen planting, shade, and fall color. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. Green bark with white streaks looks luminous in winter light. Yellow flowers open in early to late spring and give way to dangling chains of samaras. Plant it in a sheltered spot.

Pairs well with Jane magnolia, Fraser fir, Grape hyacinth, and Japanese spirea.
