Notes

White-tinged sedge (Carex albicans) is a grass for ground cover, woodland, and naturalized plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and dry to average soil. It is drought tolerant, so it suits dry shade under trees. Small white and green flowers appear from early spring to early summer. It forms a clump 12 to 18 inches tall and wide.

Pairs well with Wood lily, Swamp azalea, and Lime Zinger sedum.
