Notes

'Whitehall' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Whitehall') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The tall plants bear double white blooms with tiny red lines on a few petals. Each flower can reach nine inches across and opens in late spring. J. Franklin Styer Nurseries introduced it in 1968.

Pairs well with Perennial candytuft, Blazing star, Sedge, and Ostrich fern.
