Notes
'Whitehouse' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Whitehouse') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The tall plant bears double, rose type blooms in late spring. The white flowers tend toward creamy white and reach nine inches across. John Franklin Styer bred it, and J. Franklin Styer Nurseries introduced it in 1968.
Pairs well with Perennial candytuft, Blazing star, Virginia rose, and Ostrich fern.
