Notes

'Wild Amazone' amaryllis (Hippeastrum 'Wild Amazone') is a bulb for borders, containers, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. The narrow petals set it apart, and a jumbo bulb sends up 2-3 flowering stems. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Grow it in a pot and bring it indoors after autumn frosts hit the foliage, and it blooms in January and February.

Pairs well with Gerbera daisy, Labyrinth dahlia, and Statice.
