Notes
Amaryllis (Hippeastrum hybrids) is a bulb for borders and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It grows 12 to 24 inches tall and needs little care. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Flowers can open in winter, spring, or summer.
Pairs well with Daffodil, Pansy, and Coral bells.
