Notes

'Ferrari' amaryllis (Hippeastrum 'Ferrari') is a bulb for borders and containers, and it takes little work to grow. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It grows 12 to 24 inches tall and tolerates drought. Flowers can open in winter, spring, or summer. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Agapanthus, Snake's head, and Totally Tangerine dahlia.
