Notes

Wild privet (Ligustrum vulgare) is a shrub for hedges, pollinator gardens, and low maintenance planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. White flowers are fragrant and draw butterflies and bees. The plant tolerates drought once settled, and it grows tall, so give it room.

Pairs well with Indian grass, Japanese barberry, and White snakeroot.
