Notes
Amur privet (Ligustrum obtusifolium) is a shrub for hedges and naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average soil. Creamy white, fragrant flowers open in late spring and early summer. It grows 12 to 15 feet tall and spreads 8 to 15 feet wide, so give it plenty of room.
Pairs well with Limeglow creeping juniper, American aspen, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
