Notes
Chinese privet (Ligustrum sinense) is a shrub for pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun. White, fragrant flowers open in early to late spring and attract bees and birds. Deer tend to pass it by. It grows fast into a mounding shape, so give it plenty of room.
Pairs well with Blue Chiffon rose of sharon, Goldenrod, and Fountain grass.
Native range
Asia and Hainan.
