Notes

'Vicaryi' privet (Ligustrum 'Vicaryi') is a shrub for hedges, privacy screens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It stays evergreen and bears fragrant blooms from early to late spring. Butterflies and bees visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Fragrant sumac, Munstead lavender, and Amsonia.
