Notes

'Wine & Spirits' weigela (Weigela Florida 'Wine & Spirits') is a shrub for borders, hedges, cottage gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It has an arching shape and grows at a moderate pace to 36 to 60 inches tall. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the blooms in spring and again in summer.

Pairs well with Annabelle hydrangea, Obsidian coral bells, and Christmas fern.
