Notes
'Winecraft Gold' smoketree (Cotinus coggygria 'Winecraft Gold') is a shrub for border, specimen, accent, and privacy screen use. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows at a rapid rate, attracts butterflies, and is drought tolerant. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. Its erect form suits a spot where you want quick height.
Pairs well with Blue Muffin arrowwood viburnum, Guacamole hosta, and Gladiator ornamental onion.
