Notes

Wrinkleleaf goldenrod (Solidago rugosa) is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, meadows, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Arching sprays of small, light yellow flowers top sturdy, erect stems, and butterflies, bees, and birds visit them. Deer tend to browse other plants first. It grows in clumps and can form large masses.

Pairs well with Aromatic aster, Indian grass, and Wild bergamot.
