Notes

'Xanthocarpum' American cranberrybush (Viburnum opulus 'Xanthocarpum') is a shrub for borders, hedges, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet soil of most types. It grows 6 to 8 feet tall and wide with an arching shape, and it attracts butterflies, bees, and birds. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It is also drought tolerant.

Pairs well with Royal fern, Cheerfulness daffodil, and Purrsian Blue nepeta.
