Notes

'Yellowstone' common hyacinth (Hyacinthus orientalis 'Yellowstone') is a bulb for borders, containers, and rock gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It forms a clump of yellow, fragrant flowers that open from early to late spring. Bees visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Carnaval De Nice tulip, Fire Island hosta, and Bowl of Beauty peony.
