Notes

'H. F. Young' clematis (Clematis 'H. F. Young') is a vine for containers, cottage gardens, specimen plantings, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. It climbs 6 to 9 feet tall and bears mid blue flowers in spring, early summer, and fall. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Walter Pennell bred it.

Pairs well with Limelight hydrangea, Green Spice coral bells, and Jeana garden phlox.
