Notes
'Ziyou Zhimeng' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Ziyou Zhimeng') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Fragrant red-purple single flowers open in early to mid spring and measure about 6.3 inches across. The plant spreads as it grows and reaches about 62 inches tall, so give it room.
Pairs well with Rainbow's End hosta, Switchgrass, Stargazer lily, and Mock orange.
